To-

As when with downcast eyes we muse and brood,
And ebb into a former life, or seem
To lapse far back in some confused dream
To states of mystical similitude,
If one but speaks or hems or stirs his chair,
Ever the wonder waxeth more and more,
So that we say, 'All this hath been before,
All this hath been, I know not when or where;'
So, friend, when first I look'd upon your face,
Our thought gave answer each to each, so true-
Opposed mirrors each reflecting each-
That, tho' I knew not in what time or place,
Methought that I had often met with you,
And either lived in either's heart and speech.

Alfred Tennyson (1832)

can't help feeling a tinge of sadness at having to leave this land behind. was brimming with determination a few weeks ago, confident that i'd be able to fulfill this dream i've yearned for for so long. the fear and dread is definitely mounting and it's an unbearable feeling. how i wish those elated emotions would surge and fill me up once again. cold feeet! rahhh.

one thing i'm really grateful for is the amount of support and encouragement i've received these past months. my parents cant fathom why i'd prefer a life so full of obstacles compared to doing acc and leading a financially fulfilling life. but i know they are secretly very proud and happy for me(: my sisters are too. they really balance me out, alot. there's the super logical and practical sister and there's the go for your dreams and take the risks sister. it's kinda like the yin and yang. they come tgt to complete you. i can't express in words just how much i love this family(: it's just lots and lots and lots of <3!

my friends are like super fab too! my secret life advisor was just telling me that there's alw a need to sacrifice sth in the process of pursuing your dreams. and he believes that my sacrifice would be worth it, because i'll become a great and compassionate doctor(: that really warmed my heart! there's another who said she'd call me so often to motivate me that i'll have no chance to be not successful! hahaha, she's got ulterior motives though.

life's such an intricate labyrinth. it's kinda odd to take a step back and see how far we've all come. chasing our passion, our desires, our needs. will this be the path that we will live to regret? or will we live happily ever after? i do hope i'll live happily ever after(: i mean, who doesn't want to!

pensive moods are so not me. though i really like to read what other people write when they are in their pensive moods, all that epiphanic and melancholic reads. they appeal to me. prolly cos they're pouring their hearts out? or perhaps it's their ability to whip out those bombastic words that so aptly describes their state of mind that piques my interest. idk. i wanna write like that too(:

sometimes i wonder if i'm an enigma. so often is the brain inundated with thoughts that i would be forced to shut myself up lest i say sth inappropriate. then i'll feebly muster a smile to wash any raised eyebrows away. that's not weird is it? i would like to think that many others out there are like that too. speaking of which, i thought there were many out there who replied msges/msn convo with sentences with less than ten words in them. apparently not. so now i'm anti-social and weird. it's such a senseless label aint it? doesnt the ability to let someone understand me in fewer words say much about my linguistic skills? haha, stupid people amuse me.

aye, i've got so much pent up rants. but it's getting late for such solemn thoughts. i miss happy me, and i'm a hungry kid. au revoir till the next post!

yours truly.

my heart is drenched in wine;
but you'll be on my mind forever

just got back from asoc camp. really enjoyed myself thoroughly throughout the short three days. made a brand new group of friends and we really do hit it off well! though not on the first day straight. lets see, we had 6 girls and 5 guys. the guys are really funky and enthusiastic. they were seriously kind enough to get on with those really stupid mind games to get our spirits to kick in. our cheer was haha, so super random but cool as well. very fitting of our joker image indeed! the bitch talk at night did get us more united and helped really alot for second day at palawan(:

the second day started with a blast. we the jokers won 7, drew 2 and lost 1 of the games played. throwing water bombs, shampooing of hair, piggy's tail, frisbee, volleyball, spinning in circles etc. some of the activities we engaged in. was quite high the whole day(: the night pageant was kinda -.- a pity russ and doris didnt get to the finals. the faci's performance of nobody but you was ultra funny! and all their bollywood nonsense, cross dressing, villians vs heroes... they ended it with mambo, where only a pitiful 5 were on the chairs dancing to the songs. russ was damn cute and full of emotions while dancing. lei and i couldnt help but keep laughing at him! and so we played late into the night, went back to sch at ard 12am and proceeded on to have supper, playing games. catching on computer room chairs is seriously exciting ttm. the cheap thrill of rolling down the slope, catching everyone else and joining tgt to form a train. tiring but enjoyable nevertheless(: aft catching we the tired sheeps went back to the room to play card games and more card games. didnt catch a wink the entire night! to keep ourselves in tip top awake condition, bryan, meijin and i even went jogging along town before everyone woke up(:

hokay, damn tired. such priceless memories i'll bring away with me. im definitely gonna miss this crazy bunch of asoc friends. they're the ones making it hard to leave. ahwells...gotta catch up on some sleep. update aplenty soon!

love jia.
