90 miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving
I don't know why
So many questions
I need an answer
Two years later
You're still on my mind

Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart?
Who holds the stars up in the sky?
Is true love just once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

Does anybody know the way to Atlantis
Or what the wind says when she cries?
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the 97th time tonight

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow
I watched the stars crash in the sea
If I could ask God just one question
Why aren't you here with me tonight?

Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you
Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the one for you

i cant get to sleep with the concert pieces running through my head. blahhh! they've come and gone in the twinkling of an eye. long gone are the days when we lament about the countless pracs that last for eons, how our tone sounds like shit, and the adrenaline high that comes from playing high notes and emo drama mama pieces. aye! i'll miss being a bandit. six years of trumpeting comes to a halt here eh. joining alumni will be so different. the feeling's gonna be different. hurr.

well, the magnificently maajestic majestia was held at the well-known esplanade this time round and we did have a great time exploring the area, dressing rooms and stuff. the hall kinda disappointed us initially as we felt that playing in the pt was more shiok. after getting more used to the hall we gradually grew to like it just that we did have to project kinda more. heh, it was super amusing to see everyone falling asleep during the rehearsal. imagine falling aslp in esplanade whn you're supposed to be excited about playing there lo.

concert started off not bad. lively but a tad too long to my liking. then the second piece was emomomo, was rather disappointed with the solo cos it wasnt my best, we did feel super depressed during the piece tho, and some of them did tear! hahaha. hmmph machu we screwed too but surprisingly people thought it was the nicest!(: the rest were kinda a blur for me and starwars was my favourite! whacked it till the end. and died. ahhha, then there was like a mad rush out of the concert hall to receive gifts and flowers afterward. was gettting giddy from all the running ard and hugging people.

the place is so big that its hard to figure and spot friends who went. was really really elated though, to see so many familiar faces supporting us(: thank you to every single one of you who were present! the flowers are thriving well, the food is stashed away and to be consumed while mugging. heh:P ahh and i have to say this! i love my dad the most because he's been to every single one of my concerts! from my first piano concert, to stnicks band performances, outdoor performances and all my concerts with vjcsb. he's never missed one of it. seriously. ahha so cool(:

was literally a walking zombie in sch the next day. could even sort of doze off while supporting hockey girls' finals. congrats on the win girls! and today was full day! spent the day in sch practing with strings tho. haha, the concert was good though. i would say that the first half was more interesting than band's. plus today was nette and my super good playing day! everything was effortless(: uh huh. so i could say that this journey has ended on a high note(: no regrets, just a tinge of sadness and a whole loadsome of joy for having played with the best band there ever could be, went to carnegie and conquered em all, syf-ed gwh and so much more. this band's taught me so much, instilled in me the passion for music playing and most of all, brought this wonderful batch of friends close tgt. ah well. shant continue ranting. need sleep, now.

night human beans!

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel Im getting old
Before my time

go easy on my conscience;

what would it be like to swing on a star, or walk on a cloud? would it be anything like what i feel whenever you are near?

haha found this quote somewhere in my stack of random ramblings just now. think i saw it somewhere last year and penned it dwn. so nice! heh if only i could witness showers of shooting stars(:

anyhow, last few week's been kinda a blur. increased band pracs arent that much of a toll. tho extra strings prac after band prac is kinda draining after sometime. ticketing is a killer! finding seats for everyone is so diao-ed. ahha.
the weekend was rather fun-filled and full of emotional highs. haha! ehh, the class went to support bball guys agst ajc and it was rather grrrh. the guys looked rather dejected and its really sad to see them like that. its a pity we couldnt watch the girls' match cos we had to rush back for band. but! they made a pretty come-back today(: it was darn thrilling and kan chiong for the first half. then i think they sorta relaxed alr cos we were leading by qte alot. hehh(: had to give the girls' match a miss again cos of prac. hurr. oh, but we all agreed that wx looks cool shooting his three pointers. haha!

sat and sun was dedicated wholly to zhuzhu's wedding. she's one hell of a pretty bride la. pardon the language. yah she can so totally pass off as some miss universe or sth. wait till i get my hands on her photos. haha! hohoho, and it was really romantic. had a marvelous time being their jiemei, ringbearer, receptionist, tea holder etc. its really qte delightful to see them in such blissful happiness tgt. i kinda regret not playing for her tho. i think she'd have liked it alot. gahh blame it on the poor nerves:( hmmmph. heh anw there was this part where the life band kinda thing was playing la bamba! ahha stupid cousin wanted me to go dance it with him! funny ttm. we totally cmi, cant rmb the steps at all lo. ohwells, i think i like weddings. i think.

i miss exclaiming out loud that i love green. and very soon im gonna miss being in bandand everything else in vj. dawned upon me that its just one more week. and thats it. the end of my band life in vjc. doink, prolly more abt that next week after we end the concert on a high note(: do come for the concert! tickets are selling out rather fast. uh huh, i dont mind more work, so order tickets from me! i'd love to have you present(:

dont you agree that eeyore looks cuter than christopher?
(rachel begs to differ)
